We are currently looking to expand our Adventurous Activities Team within the Cardiff and Vale Scout Area, and we would like to invite expressions of interest from leaders who may be keen to get involved.
In particular, we are seeking volunteers who hold relevant National Governing Body (NGB) qualifications and have a passion for supporting high-quality adventurous activities. This is a great opportunity to contribute your skills and experience to help deliver and develop activities across the area, supporting young people in gaining memorable and safe experiences.
As part of this team, you would work alongside a group of like-minded volunteers to support, advise, and help facilitate adventurous activities within the area. There will also be an opportunity, for those interested, to develop further with a view to becoming an Area Scout Assessor in the future.
We are also keen to hear from leaders who are interested in developing their skills in water-based activities. If you have some experience in watercraft (such as kayaking, canoeing, or sailing) and would like to gain a National Governing Body qualification, funding is available to support you in achieving this, intending to also gaining a relevant Scout activity permit.
Whether you already have extensive experience or are looking to take the next step in your scouting journey, we would be delighted to hear from you.
If you are interested or would like to find out more, please email Chris.parsons@cardiffandvalescouts.org.uk.
Thank you for your continued support and commitment to Scouting.
