It may be June and we are still waiting for Summer to really come! but the planning for the comeback of Scout Post after 2 years of the pandemic is well under way.
Groups normally involved in Scout Post have been sent the details of the timelines, request for the list of outlets by the 31st August, a question around the cost of the stamp for 2022 and questions around their areas.
We also need to think differently about how we sell stamps as cash is no longer king. This is a conversion that will need to be had with outlets, it maybe more difficult than normal as people don’t use cash like they used to. Groups may need to look into getting a card reader for their own sales. The option is out there for a pay as you go card machine. (if you want to discuss this further please get in touch).
We again in 2022 are looking for the sponsor for our stamp, if you think your organisation or company could support in some way please share the this letter with them (PDF), it will also be posted on social media so please share widely.
We would also like the stamp to have input from our young people. The winning design will receive a £40 Amazon voucher.
Finally we need more groups and other organisation to get involved to make the scheme work.
The involvement can be:-
- Taking on a area fully (Sell, Sort, Deliver)
- Take on part e.g. Sort and deliver
- And other combination
