The Area Awards Panel will be meeting in September to consider Good Service Award Recommendations, ie Commissioner’s Commendation, Chief Scout’s Commendation, Award of Merit, Silver Acorn etc.
Anyone can make a recommendation using the Awards nomination form. For consideration in the next Panel meeting all nominations must be submitted by no later than Monday 7th September.
The citation for any award is most important and should be written giving details and examples of exceptional / outstanding or special service to Scouting that makes the nominee’s commitment and service stand out from the norm.
Before submitting a recommendation it is essential the candidate holds a Wood Badge appropriate to their appointment and that all mandatory training, ie first aid, safety, safeguarding, and GDPR are up to date.
